It's that time of year again! School starts tomorrow and I'm beyond ready for the number of kids in my house all day to drop significantly. lol. They're all a bundle of nerves and excitement for the new year. But I know they'll do awesome.

What else does school mean? School pictures! I'm running my annual Better School Picture Day. Get a picture that you actually want to hang in your house! Not only that, it'll be burned to a disk so you can make all the copies you need for a fraction of the cost.



This year Better School Picture Day is even hitting the road.

On Monday, September 6th from 9-11 AM I'll be at the Pioneer Park gazebo to photograph your cute kids! I'll spend 5 minutes per kid and you'll end up with 3 images burned to a disk that I'll mail to you. If you'd prefer, I can also just email the images. Cost is $30/kid and you'll get a copyright release so you can make your own prints.

This is my close friend and sometimes shooting partner, Lee Ann. She just moved back to Tri-Cities from Indiana and I'm so glad because I missed her!



She came to visit me last week and we took our kids (along with another friend...so there were 9 kids in all) downtown. While I was on the carousel with my youngest we happened to get these shots. I know, we're awesome. lol

It's time for Christmas Cards! I've been working on my own designs this year and it's been a lot of fun! So if you like one of these it's only $5 (paypal or check is fine) and you just send me your pictures and I'll put them in the card and email you the digital file which you can then upload to Costco or wherever and just print 4x6 or 5x7 prints. Easy peasy and much nicer on the wallet than your typical holiday cards.

If you're interested in a custom designed card then email me an idea of color/layout and for $15 I'll make you one.

These next two are supposed to be funny. Turns out you have to be fairly sarcastic to "get" them but I figured I'd include them anyway. If you go for one of these, it needs the right kind of picture so keep that in mind! (for example a super cheesy picture for the "fake family" card...)

I've decided it's time for a new look so I spoke to my amazing webmaster (aka, my husband) and he agreed to help me set up a new website and a new blog.

So, I am no longer Misty Dawn Photography. I'm simply me. Misty Alger - photographer.
